When a gift is given and received earnestly, it creates a bond between the giver and receiver. It infuses the item gifted with a more potent type of value.

The coin moves as a gift, weaving deeper connections and building abundance and synchronicity. A symbol of global, spiritual, natural and mystical unity, this coin is designed to be gifted ad infinitum to weave our collective web.

As a gift moves from person to person, it gains mythical powers… creating stories of delight and connection, and weaving a web that creates community.

Ancient civilization builders knew this. they placed the mythology of their tribes, religions, or nations into their coins. As the coins moved, they built the mythology and the connections that created some of the most powerful communities of history.

But in the past, these coins moved through trade and transactions - creating scarcity and competition.

How it works

Receiving the coin

  1. Each coin is individually numbered and has a link to this site.

  2. Once you receive the coin, you register the coin, your location and story here.

  3. Once the coin has been registered, it becomes your responsibility to ensure it moves to the next person.

Gifting the Coin

  1. The coin is designed to be worn as a necklace.

  2. It is only to be gifted to a someone who can receive the responsibility and move it to the next person.

  3. When you are ready to gift it, share the story of the project, show them how to register it, share the number of the coin, and give it to them with intention.

  4. In a few weeks, follow up with them to make sure they’ve registered it and are planning to or already have moved it.

Latin

Audita voce universali, iterum incipimus: e pluribus unum.

Be a part of the Gifting movement

Today, our communities are no longer connected by race, religion, or geography. Today is a ripe moment to run experiments that invoke the symbolism of our diverse backgrounds, belief systems, and to weave the web of global community, unity, freedom, and the interconnectedness of all humans, with nature and the mystical realms.

Each edition of the coin is initiated by an anonymous patron and created by a different collection of scholars, artists, and philosophers.

The gift project is organized as a gift, and fully donor-supported by pioneers who want to be a part of this gifting movement. If this project moves you, consider becoming a patron of an edition, or join as a donor. Every donation is 100% tax-deductible through the support of our fiscal sponsor, NAMUNA.

If you would like to become a patron of an edition, or donate through wire, check, or stock — reach out to us at share@thegift.global

“When the gift moves in a circle its motion is beyond the control of the personal ego, and so each bearer must be a part of the group and each donation is an act of social faith.”
